    Dx2 replacement info

So after finally going through 3 DXs that all had hardware malfunctions they gave me a replacement DROID x 2. Im happy with it except for the other day a friend told me the replacement phones aren't as good as the real ones. I also was using one of the benchmarking apps that displays system info and it said this phone was running a ti cpu. I thought the dx2 uses a tegra2 chip. Anyone have any insight on this?

Do you have a camera button?

No I see what you are getting at though. Im worried that the refurb phones are of a inferior build quality not that they lie to me about which one they sent

The x2 has no camera button the x1 does. I bought an x1 certified preowned from verizon for 240 with tax. It was a great phone no issuses was brand new looking everything was perfect as far as i could tell. I have now a x2 from asurion idk if its used or new i would assume used and its perfect too. It reboots every once in a while but thats a common issue on the x2.
On quadrant bench mark says my dx2 is a armv7 processor and my score is about 2400

You should easily be able to tell the difference, the x2 not only doesn't have the camera button, it is also black instead of grey like the X, and the LCD is much much much brighter.

Like you I had issues with 4 X's before I got them to send me the x2 as a relplacement, although they were very very very reluctant to do so.
My quadrant scores were averaging 2660 with the free version , but with quadrant advanced I'm scoring over 3000! Highest is like 3201 I doubt anything has changed I think the two programs read the benchmarks differently. This just proves how unreliable quadrant is to determine real world stats between different handsets.

Anyhow I love my X2 so much( especially since it was free), how about you?

Absolutely! Its awesome. I just can't wait till we get gingerbread cause 2.2 makes the screen not so good and doesn't utilize the dual core well

michealvmm,Well it wasn't really my doing. They sent me five devices and decided that it would be cheaper, and easier to send me a different device. I've also been with verizon forever, and they took that into considerations. I think for the most part they dont want to give out an upgrade, but in this rare occasion they did. Keep in mind it will never be a new device, just a factory replacement. that doesnt even come with the bbattery, battery cover, cords, or anything else that comes with the new packaging...

I wonder how they can send out a refurbed X2 when they are virtually brand new? Some people say they think they are completely different in their internal hardware such as the CPU?? Seems to me that if anyone gets a replacement X2 that it cannot be very old at all...but it could be one that someone else sent in as defective...which would not be good.
