Which fonts are you wanting to change?
You can download Handcent (3rd party SMS replacement app) and then download different font packs for your texts.

I would just search font packs in the market it will give you a lot of variety. Currently my phone font looks like this: using the cute font pack and dxtop home replacement which will allow you to use the font packs.

I was actually attempting to change the System fonts. I've seen them changed elsewhere ( [THEME] BrushedSteel ) and i have one in mind that I'd really like to use...

Its gonna be one of these two... Haven't decided yet, since idk what they look like in context, but I'm leaning towards the neater one...

Had the BB Pearl ages ago... Didn't last very long though, had no idea what I was doing at the time and ended up back with a dumbphone... >.< And now I've been through the D1, Dinc, and now the X since January.... But that's another story...

Here's one of the screenshot's from one of my favorite themes, found it another forum Post your Android Desktop - Page 15 - Android Forums
The poster said he used a custom font named DreamerOne.
"Thanks. This is from a Nexus One, and the guide I used is at How to change fonts in Android without font management tool?. The font in these screen shots is DreamerOne, found at one of the free font sites. When picking a font, you will need to find one that is roughly the same, size-wise, point for point, since the UI fields in Android are static in size. Also, I have found a little "flair" goes a long way. Any font that has a lot of style to it may be difficult to ready when it is filling the screen in 12pt print."
