I can't thank you enough for this. I could have sworn I tried the Charge only last night but it was real late (see time stamp of my post if you doubt) I'm sure I did but once the phone locked I just stopped and didn't try to push the commands after that. All is well now and yah it does take some time for it to boot staying on the red eye way to long for this old heart to take. Again, thank you!

Now for that black Notification bar that started all this nonsense

I've read that AVG has issues with this program. I wish I could find the orignal forum post that mentions this but I can't, sorry. Microsoft Security Essentils has no isses with it. Disable your AVG and do your work.

Put the USB mode in Charge Only mode. That is what it took me this morning in the post above.

Can someone further explain to me the last 2 steps. What does it mean to copy those folders to the root of the SD? i dont have a folder named root but my phone is rooted. Then, what exactly do i do for the last step and the command prompt?

The "Root" of your sd card is where the starting directory is for your sd card. If it was your computer it would be called "C:/ (put files here)" On your sd card it would be the first window that pops up for your sd card when you are viewing it on your pc.

I am having troubles with the command prompt part. I open the cmd on windows and can't get it to work. How is this part completed? Every other part went smooth.

    EDIT: I figured it out.
