Icons
This is probably in the wrong thread but do I have to have the android dev pack to make my own icons? I have tried to use photoshop and have been successful in the style I want but it always puts a white background behind them even when it is a transparent on photoshop.
Thanks

Once you get those icons completed, definitely post and show off your work...

I think if you save them as a .png file with a transparent background it should work. I'm just looking at some custom icons I downloaded.

I tried that and it still does the same thing and has a white background.

You can adjust the opacity of the image by layer in Photoshop. I just did this yesterday to make a semi-transparent dock. In the screenshot below the Opacity is 85% where 100% is completely solid and 0% is completely transparent.
