my droid x will not make or receiv calls

My phone will decide out of no where to stop making or receiving calls, and the same goes for text. I have turned it off and on, taken the battery out, factory restarted it, and even called for tech support, but nothing i do keeps this problem from reoccurring. Then the next day my phone will go back to working, like nothing ever happened. this is the second droid x of mine to do this, the first one got sent back for the same reason, and they sent me this one, that does the same thing. If anyone has some advice i am all ears.

^^^ This. If you are doing the factory reset, might as well do the SBF too to make sure something isn't in there lurking around.

Also, what's your system version/baseband version? Its under Settings -> About Phone.

Finally, are you adverse to rooting it? Just wondering as it will condition what I might recommend for a solution.
