I had a Dr. that just got an X (of course, pointed him here) ask a question about receiving sms messages from the service his office is using.
When they send him a message like: "Please call Ms.Smith [804]5551212 and let her know that she has an appointment"
The message that shows up on the X is only from the brackets phone number and beyond, not the txt in front of it.
If they don't put the brackets in, he gets the whole message. If they put the number first, he gets the whole message..
We tried the experiment by txting each other and it always worked fine no matter where we put the bracketed number..
So, in the meantime he's having the service not use brackets, but sometimes they forget...
I asked him to try Handcent as well, but beyond that, anyone heard of something like this? Thanks!
