Blue triangle in notification bar?

I have a blue triangle in the notification bar and no 3g service. What does this mean and how do i fix?

first and foremost try a battery pull, take out battery for 30 seconds and restart phone and see if its still there

Did you recently SBF or flash your phone? If So dial *228 and select activate.

I get a blue triangle when I use Google Navigation.

Blue triangle means you are not connected to the network. As was said *228 and reactivate and then again to update your roaming.
