[XTREMLY BRICKED] Changing Roms Gets Brickd

im passing trough extrem frustrating moments right now !

    Here's The problem

I Flashed the Liquid ICS v 1.5 .. i test it and i really dont like it.. so i decided to flash another rom... VXR Beta 1.5 this time ... i did the regular steps.
    Get into Recovery
    wipe data/cache
    wipe cache
    wipe dalvik
    install zip from sd card
    romname.zip
    reboot

after a moment of surprise i saw a bootloader error... someting like bad programming so i decided to make an sbf to froyo ( like i always do when i get a problem )

using the rsd lite ... but the process appears to be interrumped, and another Error appears in the bootloader Screen :

    Bootloader
    30.04
    Err:A5,70,70,00,1F

    MEM_MAP Blank
    Service Req'd
    Battery OK
    OK to Program
    Transfer Mode:
    USB

I just tried to flash a lot of others sbf files.. and no results.. the same error persits..
Adittionally i use the Linux Solution Mentioned in this forums , using the .340 , .602 , .605 iso's and nothing changes.. the same error persist

any idea ? i really dislikes the idea of flashing the 621 sfb ( that i think may works ) because in this way i cannot flash the mexican baseband of the droid x...hope u can helpe dudes

Like Goose mentioned in the other thread, you may have flashed the AIO that updated you to .621, making it impossible to go back to .605/.602/.596/.340

I'm not too familiar with it but he said the ROM you flashed may have been an AIO that updated you to 4.5.621 without you knowing, post the file name of the file you flashed to be sure

This is exactly what I did. Without doing any prior research, I tried to update my DX to ICS without realizing it isn't released for DX, and probably wont be. I updated to .621, and tried to flash back, that's my problem and I understand it. What do I do to unbrick my phone? I've tried the Linux SBF many times on FroYo and GB, but it obviously didn't work. Let me know if my phone can stop being a paperweight anytime now.

Since you updated to .621 you have two choices to get your phone to a working state.

    1. SBF stock .621 using RSD Lite.

    2. Use the Milestone .604 ISO to SBF (Linux, with option to root)

    OP:

Needs to either use the 1KDS Linux ISO for .604 along with a factory data wipe/reset and should be a-OK.

If that want to go directly to .621 (and not root for some reason) you can put the .621 SBF file onto a native Linux partition (either on HDD or USB/CD/etc) along with the sbf_flash utility, and run it directly from the terminal. If you need assistance with that, I can provide the necessary terminal commands.

However it needs to be done in Linux, because otherwise you will change your baseband, which as you said is a concern.

    For the second person:

Use the .604 1KDS ISO if you want to root.

Use the .621 SBF file in RSD Lite if you don't intend to root.

I've done the Linux SBF successfully a few times before (to GB .604 I believe). This time, it's not letting me do anything. I can't use RSD Lite, because my phone isn't being detected when connected to my PC. I took it to Verizon and told them it died during a software update, and he told me the state it's in is the same as when the phone is being shipped to a verizon store. No OS at all he says. Granted, he could've just been lying, but either way, maybe I just need a driver, but my phone is stuck to only going to bootloader mode and nothing else, even when the battery is charged. I've downloaded the .621 SBF file, but like I said, it won't detect my phone being connected, so I can't put the file on my phone, or get to the other screen (Android with ! triangle... uhm.. Home+PowerOn). If anyone has any ideas for me to try, I'd love to hear it. I don't have much else to lose at this point, haha.
