EDIT: Oh looks like my thread got stickied. Well I'mma add a bit more info in here for anyone just stumbling in then.

Looks like we got a leak. Daywalker posted a .621 SBF file at XDA. (Ironic, thought the XDA Droid X forums were pretty dead)

Still can't revert to earlier firmware. If you are on .621, you will remain on .621, and a root exploit is still not found for .621. But it looks like we have a way to revive a bricked .621.

If you need a link to the .621 SBF file I am hosting it in my Dropbox. All props go to Daywalker at XDA for the leak, Dropbox is just a heck of a lot simpler and faster download than the original mirror. I had a brick Droid X. Last week I had tried to go back a version from .621 and yes got the White Screen of Brickhood. MEM_Blank yada yada yada. Had Verizon cover under warrenty and on Monday i was up and running but no root. This gave me the chance to play with the released copy of the above SBF file on the bricked phone. I am happy to report it works and phone is no longer a brick. If anyone wants logs files or experiment I am willing to do anything to it since I must send it back in the next few days. Thanks to all who are working on rooting this version and I hope it happens soon.

I might be an idiot, but this doesnt work in RSD lite? Or am I missing something

For one thing its much smaller than previous SBF files ive had, Also inside of the rar I dont see an sbf file but rather files named META_INF, Patch, Recovery system ect.

You downloaded the update.zip.

So I had the newest update for my Droid X (.621) and about a month ago I rooted it and am currently running CM7. There's a weird dark spot that's been on my screen for a while and it annoys the crap outta me and I think it should be covered under warranty but I need to convert my phone back to stock so they don't see that it is rooted and void my warranty when I take it in. How do I get my phone back to the latest version of stock? Do I just have to flash this SBF?
