RSD Lite will not recognize phone

No matter what I try the RSD Lite program does not see my droid X when I start it. I need to SBF the phone but I cannot get it to recognize the phone. I've tried uninstalling the software and drivers and reinstall. I've rebooted. I've update to newer versions gone back to older versions .....nothing! Any ideas guys ??? I'm totally stumped.

Try the Linux method...it's allot easier and hassle free

Actually a previous thread says the linux method will not do what I am trying to do. I want to add a Verizon SBF to it and I think I have to use RSD Lite. I have to change the baseband on the phone and I'm a noob for sure but I don't think the Linux method will do it. I'm trying to use the VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf

I have tried all the connections methods as well. I've had it in PC Mode.... Charging mode .... All of them with no luck.

The Linux method is made with the Verizon sbf...
And to change the radio... The sbf should take care of that... Out you can sbf to 340 and then flash just the radio file

Sbf linux. Its idiot proof! even I ran it.. I thought my phone was done for 2 days ago.. now I'm running ssx 2.2 yee yee!! Do the linux sbf method rds lite sux.

So if I'm already at
System Version 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US
Android Version 2.2.1
Baseband BP_C_02.06.00R

Can I flash it with the 1KDStaz_DX_4.5.602.iso and get it working you think ? This phone was originally a Milestone X but it shows as a Droid X now I just can't get it to activate. I think the reason is the baseband is wrong and still set as Alltel. If I change the baseband to Verizon do you think it will activate then ?

Ya... You can use it... and I do think it will activate... But I'm not sure... And since your on 340 you can flash just a baseband to try it out

Well I did the linux flash with 1kaz and now I'm at

4.5.602.MB810.Verizon.en.US

But the baseband is still at

BP_C_02.06.00R

I'll read up on upgrading the baseband and try it one more time!

I just don't know what else to do ? I can try to update the baseband but would the baseband really be what's keep me from activating ?
