Bootloader help - RSD/Linux methods not working - Bricked

    So...

    I'm back again with more problems than I had before. ^^;

After getting such helpful advice last time, I feel it's time to come back again since my phone isn't really responding to anything I do.

My phone is bricked. I tried (stupidly and highly ineffectively) to flash my phone from Liberty GB v0.9 to 2.3.15... Now my phone simply won't start. I try t turn it on and I get the liberty symbol, but I get no boot animation, nor can I get into clockworkmod recovery.

I manage to get into bootloader, and I have tried (and failed) many times so far to sbf my phone.

When I ran into a problem before, I simply used this method to get me out of it: Linux solution to your Windows/RSD lite problems
It worked the first time, but since I'm using another computer and don't have access to the older one, I had to re-install all the files again to use it. This is where I come into an issue.

I grab the iso, and I "burn" it to my USB thumb drive, but when I go to load it up, it takes me to a UNetbootin menu with several options:

    "Default
    Slitaz
    web
    zeb
    us"

If I choose anything but "Slitaz", it gives me the error of: "Could not find ramdisk image: /ubninit". If I choose "Slitaz", then it takes me a through a string of code and makes my screen look like it's been run over by a car.

After failing in this, I moved to the simpler RSD method. I grabbed the latest sbf from: https://sites.google.com/site/1kdsdroidx/home and attempted to work through my problem. RSD failed me. I uninstalled it, re-installed the new Motorola drivers, re-installed it, still nothing, messed around with some settings, nothing. I click the start button, and it seems as if it attempts nothing and just gives me a "FAIL" error message.

That's all I really have to say about that... I have nothing else to try, so if there's anything out there that can help, please let me know!

    Thanks in advance,

    ~Achiga

For the USB drive, you don't need to select a distribution...select diskimage at the bottom and then the ...'s to find 1KDS' .iso file. Here are instructions on how to burn with Unetbootin

I did that method and I still got that error, even after formatting the USB a few times and retrying the method with UNetbootin.

If you have a disc you can burn, it sometimes has more success...but for RSD lite, try rebooting your PC and move the sbf file to your desktop and give it a try again. Also, make sure you are running RSD as an administrator if on Vista or Win 7.

And keep your phone powered down in between attempts so that you don't drain the battery. It likely won't charge in that state, so if it dies, you'll have to get a charged battery some other way.

I get the same option when I boot off flash, just pick slitaz, that's the distro the 1KDStaz.iso is built on. It just sounds like your on a computer that won't support the video resolution of the 1KDS utility, so you'll need to use another PC

@C Dippa: My RSD is constantly in Admin mode. Moving the files to the desktop didn't help, but moving them to a folder got it to start executing the process. It's a bit weird that it did that, but I'll take what I can get at this point. Thanks for the help. I hope this works.

@HarleyDude What's the video resolution of it? x: My laptop can play 1080 and 720 videos just fine, or is that too high for it?

Well then, the laptop should handle it just fine, so I'm not sure
If you can get an older version of the iso, either .7 ot .8, you get the option to set the video resolution.
