Lol. Sorry for that nerd input. You are free to tell me that right clicking is easy enough.. lol.

That made me lol, Wug...I like the S B F idea.

Awesome work on this, 1KDS! I'll give it a test run on XP when I go to the rooted OTA.

Don't do that (IMO). The beauty of this thing is the very fact that it is standalone. Once you start adding external variables like internet, you will have effectively diminish your products main advantage, all while making the entire system more complicated and subject to failure. If you were to actually do that, then I would also recommend considering the implementation of a standalone hash checker... which isn't that hard, but still makes the whole thing more involved then it needs to be.

    Keep it entirely self contained.

If you have multiple sbf files then I recommend implementing an init.d script and a short little bash script so that when the disc boots up the user is prompted by a basic menu of options. Press 1 for full sbf (recommended), press 2 for system only...

If you wanted to get really fancy, you could make a boot time animation that was a graphical depiction of a hand connecting the usb plug into the device. Or just some stylized animated text like "connect usb now"... "now choose an option"

I would make a disc like that with all the files, and then also package separate mini releases with just one sbf file each.

Pulling stuff from the server may be cool, but it is subject to too many problems to make it worthwhile... wifi driver incompatibility, lack of Internet all together, weak connection, temporary server failure when you are not around, and more.

Stick to standalone, its the number one reason this thing is the bomb in my opinion.
