ImgBurn is purely for burning iso files to a disc. There are two other links in the op before the link for imgBurn for creating a bootable flash drive. Please note that the flash drive will have to be dedicated for just this, meaning that you couldn't also use it to store other files. Those procedures involve fully wiping your flash drive before making it bootable.

You first have to make the USB bootable, so take off anything you want to keep, then go here:

Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3 | USB Pen Drive Linux

    or here:

    Unetbootin USB Maker

Also check to make sure your Bios will allow you to boot from the USB drive while you're at it...

For those folks that don't boot into the Slitaz system desktop (motorcycle wallpaper pic) and get just a login prompt, try this....

login:tux (if you type anything but tux you will be asked for a password and it will fail) this should take you to another prompt, then type

cd Desktop/SBF (make sure you do it like this, capital letters included. If this doesn't work, try cd /Desktop/SBF )

now you should see that you are in this directory called Desktop/SBF

    now type

    ./RIGHT_CLICK_ME.sh

now it should say Are you ready to start flashing? and have 1. Yes and 2. No prompts up. You're there!
Thanks for that, this info should probably be in OP. "tux" logged me in and I used "startx" to launch the desktop. My MacBook Pro touchpad doesn't work but a usb mouse fires right up. Thanks 1Kds, for putting this together. After failing miserably using OSX, Ubuntu, and Win 7 to root Froyo the long way I wasn't eager to sbf. I used RSD Lite once before and it wasn't too painful, but it's always an opportunity to screw up, and this helps minimize risk. I'll try this out later tonight, before loading yet another GB build! (and then he'll post the 5 part 591 1/2 build)

You didn't go straight to the Desktop in version 0.7? That was an issue previously but 0.7 fixed it (I thought) you would be the first person to post that 0.7 didn't boot to the Desktop.

You need to select "local iso selected" in step 1, then browse for the file in step 2.

Here's how to get the USB bootable and 1KDS's iso 'burned' onto the USB using Unetbootin':

    1. First go here: UNetbootin - Homepage and Downloads to download the utility, pick Windows or whatever version you need...

    2. Then run the utility and this screen will come up:

    3. Scroll down to where the arrow is pointing and choose diskimage, then hit the button on the right to go to the directory where you put 1KDS's slitaz0.7 iso file..

    4. Click ok. It will run for about 5 minutes, and when it's done you will have a bootable USB drive with all the files you need to SBF...
