Don't use Bootstrapper to reboot recovery ever. That will bork your phone.

Alright I got Droid 2 bootstrapper and did everything Go Cliff Go recommended. Went to download MIUI rom from CWM and it seemed to be working. However, now I'm getting the droid with a triangle and exclamation point in it. If I push the power button it goes to CWM recovery and gives me a couple of options i.e. -reboot system now - apply update from SD card etc... Whenever I select an option it just takes me back to the droid with the triangle & exclamation point. If I push the power button again it takes me back to the CWM recovery. Any ideas?

That's not Clockwork Recovery. Read my post above.

when in cwm, do you need to press camera button to select not power on dx?

OK camera button seemed to be a simple solution. How do I flash CM9 and the gapps? What does that even mean?

CM9 is just a different ROM. I copied that from one of my posts in another discussion. Some ROMs require flashing Google Apps. MIUI has them built in. And yes, use the camera button in CWM to execute. Power button in stock recovery.

OK say I want to say thanks to everyone that helped. I finally got MIUI on my phone. However, I couldn't get cyenogenmod or several others I tried along the way. Not sure why. However, I'm happy for now. I'll probably be back on here when I get sick of MIUI. Thanks again.

Are you downloading your Roms through rom manager? If that is causing you problems just try downloading the roms from the Site and placing them on your sd card and installing through CWM.
