Wow! Thanks for the tutorial! Just a word of warning for other people looking to use that, make sure you type things into terminal correctly, especially on step 2d, the dd command is sometimes referred to as data destroyer / disk destroyer / death and destruction because it is very powerful.

What do you mean by flash back to .621? Flash back from what? The Milestone .604?

to go back to 621 with root you have to flash a prerooted zip file in clockwork recovery

It is confirmed to work. It is ONLY a root method. I'd love to see .621 as an ISO if that's possible. These are much easier to use for an SBF than using RSD Lite.

Where can I find a prerooted zip? And how do I get to clockwork recovery?

So, I did Milestone X 4.5.604 Gingerbread root for my phone yesterday. Everything worked fine until just about 30mins ago. My phone shut off and has been stuck on the loading screen. I tried to factory reset. It's still stuck on the loading screen. Is there anything else I can do?

Just redo the .604 SBF. That will get you going.

Hey guys this is my first post on here (yay)
I'm having a bit of an issue with this process
Last night I converted over to the Milestone X version of .621 and rooted it using the OP method. No problems there at all, I was super pleased!
Now what I'm trying to is cram Cyanogenmod 9 on this sucker (or any ICS like rom)
I boot into recovery, wipe the cache and factory reset but when I try and update from the SD card it gives me an error about a whole-file verication and aborts the process, this is what pops up:

    Verifying update package...
    E:failed to verify whole-file signature
    E:signature verification failed
    Installation aborted

I have tried 2 different CM9 builds straight from their website and both give me the same error, I'm definitely rooted, I tried using Clockwork Recovery/Rom Manager off the app store and all it does is just reboot my phone when I tell it to install a rom. I feel like I might be using Clockwork wrong but I'm not sure...
I'm sure this problem answered somewhere in the past but I'm not finding it easily.
Any help you guys could give would be great! Thanks in advance!
