    Go to settings/about phone. Look at the kernel. If the .621 kernel flashed it should match mine.

    Reboot back into recovery and flash it again.

    He meant maybe the file didn't download properly or complete in order to install and maybe that's why you can't flash it. Download it one more time & try again.

    maybe im silly in asking this but is it at all possible to go from .621 back to froyo i dont care about keeping radio i just want the freedom to sbf to whichever version i want to ive tried factory reset 4 times now and am getting very frustrated factory reset is leaving me on .621 is there no escape other than turning it into a milestone

    Unfortunately once your on .621 your stuck there, no way to go back to froyo or to any other gingerbread version before it. Only thing you can do now is root, & rom it.
