If you are running MIUI then there is now way the OTA update could have installed. You should be fine to use any of the images in the OP, 4.5.602 is the newest.

Are you sure? I haven't been on MIUI for very long. Sorry I'm not as experienced in this as I'd like.

This OTA (4.5.621) has only been out about a week, do you remember getting a box popping up saying "A software update has been downloaded and is ready to install" in the last week or so?

  5. #1914
Ah I didn't realize it was that recent. I've been on miui for several weeks so I guess im ok. Should I just make sure to not update once i sbf?

Yes, do not take the 4.5.621 update, if you do you will be stuck there. You can use titanium backup to freeze updater or use root explorer to rename it.

I'm not sure what happened to my phone, but I was running MIUI 2.1 (wizards version) and friday night my phone died. Then when I woke up I tried charging it and it wouldn't charge. Then when I got to my spare battery, it booted up but into bootloader mode. It was working fine before it died Friday, I've been rooted and rom'd, flashing, sbf'ing, etc for over a year now. So I have tried the rsdlite sbf and also have tried most the sbf's here (gotta say they are amazingly easy to do and better than the rsdlite version). Thanks for that. But for some reason it keeps giving me an error and won't boot back up just shows the M then goes to bootloader, err:A5,69,35,00,27. Anybody have any suggestions. I have tried the 602, 602root and froyo. After it is finished it won't let me get into recovery just keeps showing the m and going back to bootloader and the same error message. I didn't want to keep trying the same old thing cause I didn't want to kill this battery. Had to go get one from a friend that doesn't live that close. Thanks ahead for any help!

I don't think I would have been able to. I was wondering if it may have had something to do with it, but I was on MIUI, I didn't think an update like that could even make it through to me. At this point I just want my phone to work again, so maybe I should try that sbf file since you have that worked out already. I am using my old blackberry curve right now.

I feel for ya, I smashed my DX once and had to use a BB Storm for a couple days... torture!
You can try the .621 sbf, I guess you don't have much to lose at this point. To be honest, I've seen a few devices fail this way, seemingly working fine then boom... bootloader errors. I wish you the best.

Thanks 1KDS. Yeah, using the curve has definitely made me realize how much I loved my X. Definitely torture, but at least I have a phone I guess. Any tips on the .621 sbf? I haven't found any instructions, but saw the link on your site. Do I have to use a specific RSDLite? I have rsdlite 4.8 on my Windows 7 (64 bit). Or I have a laptop with Vista, so I could start new on that?
