Software is always going to have little bugs here and there, the bother some more than others. With how new Android is and how rushed these system versions are from Motorola, nothing will ever be perfect.

Sometimes a good factory reset will solve some of these little bugs you are seeing.
I loved the phone before the gingerbread update (its still a great phone, just need to get it running spot on again) and while it wasn't perfect, I noticed very few bugs and everything just worked the way it should. I'll be more diligent about checking whats included in the update from now on. Hindsight eh.. I'll give the factory reset a go and see if that helps out, thanks for the advice

Hey! Many thanks for this. It worked well. I am fairly proficient with droid, Linux, etc. however my bricked D2G had me stumped. Your CD creation saved me a new phone. Thanks again!!

Okay so I have my Droid X running on .340 on MIUI 1.8.19 and it's so buggy and unbearable that I've been trying to switch it since I got it like two months ago. It won't connect to my laptop on Windows 7 but I was trying to do this SBF on Linux Mint but I keep getting:
    bash: ./sbf_flash: Permission denied

Any solutions? I'm on debugging mode in bootloader. Superuser is also on my phone but I can't change any settings on it.

Ok...copied the file to CD...using a Gateway desktop running Vista. Booted from the CD....everything looks ok (I get the dots etc.); however, once the dots stop....I get several messages scrolling, and ultimately the computer hangs, and I never get the menu.
Has anyone had anything similar? I tried going through all the pages....but got to 112, and couldn't take it anymore... thought I'd risk the flaming in case I missed something or just didn't search far enough.
