    If you already know how to root and ROM your phone than this video is not for you.

    If you DO want to root your phone, this is a QUICK run though on you to do exactly that. If you read the guides here then watch this video of me rambling on... and on... for 12 minutes you will see that it is not that hard and is may be something you want to give a try.

    In this video it will briefly cover: How to root your Droid X, backup your current applications, backup and restore your system using bootstrap recovery, and how to install a custom ROM.

    Yep I am like that. SHOW me and I can replicate it. I was really amazed I just skimmed everything yet it was 12+ mins long

    Thanks DD. I will give it a look since I have been rooted but am definitely sheepish about installing ROMs.

    BTW - I don't think you ever saw the post I made (on another thread about emails). But, after what you had said in the post, I figured there had to be more to K-9 than I saw the first time I tried it and gave it an entire weekend to play with. Bottom line I had posted that you were right and I was wrong (but don't tell my wife) K9 is now my email app.

    Yep when I first got my phone I first said, "I won't root this, stock is fine"
    then I said "City ID WTH!"
    O.K. I will root it and get rid of bloat
    Then I saw someone made a black title bar!
    OK well I guess I could do just that
    Oh a leak OK I will do that!
    Oh a new ROM O.K.!

    You youngins do not remember, what 5 months ago when an app that gave you root with "one click" was a super big deal!!
