Thanks again DD - just loaded Liberty and now I'm playing with my phone like it was new. I don't think I would have attempted a ROM installation without the video assist.

If you already know how to root and ROM your phone than this video is not for you.

If you DO want to root your phone, this is a QUICK run though on you to do exactly that. If you read the guides here then watch this video of me rambling on... and on... for 12 minutes you will see that it is not that hard and is may be something you want to give a try.

Yep when I first got my phone I first said, "I won't root this, stock is fine"
then I said "City ID WTH!"
O.K. I will root it and get rid of bloat
Then I saw someone made a black title bar!
OK well I guess I could do just that
Oh a leak OK I will do that!
Oh a new ROM O.K.!

You youngins do not remember, what 5 months ago when an app that gave you root with "one click" was a super big deal!!

I was in the same mind frame... then i rooted just to use tibackup then went crazy from there,,, never looked back!
Also... great video, sent it to a co-worked that is interested in rooting his new X.

Yes I always skip the Google menus at the beginning till I get all my apps back then I hit the Market. The Market will prompt for you Google login. If you don't depending on how you have your phone set up Google will push apps back to your phone.

After installing Liberty the camcorder app is missing. Did a reboot with no result. Any advice? Looks like I will need to remove Liberty because the app is no longer on the phone and does not appear in Titanium.

I think I see what happened - Liberty must have their own camera/camcorder combined app. Is there any way to get the stock versions back on Liberty?

DB - been playing with the awesome instructions you provided and practiced going back and forth between stock and Liberty. In your video you discuss renaming your backups so you can keep track of them. If you update your video you should mention that if you rename a back up file do not use any spaces. I had renamed the Liberty back up with a dash and a space and when I tried to re-install it gave me an MD5 error message and would not install the back up. Fortunately I found out what I had done by a search.
