HELP! Deleted build.prop and rebooted.
Hey guys, I have a Rooted DroidX using Gingerbread. I deleted my build.prop file on accidently using ROMexplorer. Its been rebooted, unfortunatly, due to stability issues. I installed Titanium Backup the day I Rooted. Im able to boot in recovery mode, and see the Factory Reset option, as well as Update from SD. In Update from SD directory, it shows my Titanium Backup, but has no options when selected. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I know its a silly mistake, but now I really need some help. Would installing a new ROM help? I have CM7 Nightlies.zip on SD. Tried to update from that, say Signature Verification failed, install aborted. Please help ASAP guys. I have no funds or extra phone, so I am S.O.L. as of now and the past 2 days.

Can you boot your phone up? It says installation aborted because you're in stock recovery and need to be in clockwork in order to install anything non stock.
If you can boot into clockwork I'll be able to have a buil.prop in a flashable zip maybe shortly

My phone was in stock Recovery mode, then ubruptly shut off. My guess is battery drain. Green LED is lit when plugged in USB. Unable to boot of any sort now. Im really stressed over this guys.

To boot into clockwork you'll need Droid 2 bootstrap

Well if you can't boot into clockwork the only other option you'll have is to sbf.
Have you ever used bootstrap in your phone?
If the answer is no then you'll have to sbf this is the easiest way

Well hopefully it'll charge that way you can sbf because you'll need at least 70% battery to do so

Thanks for the quick replies guys. This ordeal has given me a new respect for my hardware. Ive had it on USB charge for about 20 min, and unable to boot of any sort. Phone is charging (thankfully). It tried to auto boot and of course went to a blank screen. Ive downloaded the Linux OS in link for easy SBF. Im confused as to what i need to do, as im not sure if im gonna be able to burn this to a CD. I would really like to complete this on my neighbors PC.

As long as he has a CD burner or you have a USB thumb drive, you should be fine...
Here are instructions for burning to a disc, just follow the one for the OS he is running:
Mac
Windows 7
Windows XP or Vista
