    How to flash a new ROM?

    I recently rooted my phone from .621 to milestone x .604 then flashed CM7. I was wondering if I flash another ROM would I lose all my apps I redownloaded?

    Yeah when flashing different ROMs you gotta wipe data which causes you to lose the apps. Why not just use Titanium? Its invaluable, you'll have all your apps back up and installed in like 10 minutes.

    Yep use titanium backup to backup all USER apps and then restore only USER apps after a new rom install.

    I recently switched to vortex reloaded and didn't care for it to much so tried to flash back to CM7 and now I have a Google load up screen and the phone wont let me set up my Google account. So I flashed Liberty v2.0 and still have the Google load up screen instead of the Motorola one but I could sign into my Google account to set up my phone. What could be the problem?

    From what I understand (when I asked the same thing a while ago), Vortex includes a change to the boot image (to show Google), and our will stay that way into you flash a ROM that changed it.

    But it doesn't hurt to leave it

    Okay thanks, when I reflashed CM7 it wouldn't let me set up my Google account for some reason, hopefully somebody knows because I really liked CM7.
