3G/1X does not work in Liberty 2.0

I enable the setting in notification bar (up and down arrow). But the 3G icon is still not shown. Any advise? Thanks.

Update: Solved. Replace pppd-ril.options. I need this because I'm using China Telecom's network. I never know I should use its own pppd-ril.opens. file

A reboot usually fixes the issue.

Strangely, after rebooting, the issue still exists. How to enable 3G network in android setting? Is it background data setting? No matter whether I enable the up and down arrow or not, the background setting do not change.

I am having this same issue. I've tried *228 option 2, then option 1, then rebooted, with no luck. Tried clearing Dalvik cache next and I am still without 3G/1X. I don't know what else to try.

Make sure the Liberty download you used has a matching md5 checksum. You can use Android File Verifier or most any file explorer to check yours, then match it against one posted with the download link. If it matches, try doing only cache and dalvik wipes, and reflash Liberty. As long as you don't wipe data, you won't have to redo your setup.
