Is all the newest highly customizable roms like liberty and miui on GB or is there others? Im a little hesitant on doing the sbf to .602 to jump from miui 1.7.22 cause I've bricked a phone in the past.
Is it safe to go to - about phone - system update to get to GB?

It's very safe to SBF to .602, that's how you fix a brick, if you need some help with the process we can help you through it. Support for Froyo ROMs have pretty much ceased. I'd work on getting back to GB.

No, it won't update if you are on miui.

it's not going to update from any rom other than stock since 9/10 of them block it's updates. Just do a sbf .

Also updating to an ota update from a rom can have some major issues.
