[ROM] DarkSlide 4.2 Blur and Blurless (almost)

Can you walk me through the procedure? I had Darkslide 4.2 at one time and thought I would try Liberty1.5 and now I get back my Darkslide.

You need to reflash liberty then in toolbox change the boot animation then go back to darkslide.

You do not need liberty to alter the boot animations. We were doing that WAY before Liberty was a dream

If you run the darkslide installation correctly it will overwrite Liberty's or any other ROMs animation

Really??? When liberty first came out I remember reading about people changing and still having the boot animation and thought I read to go back to liberty and change it.

It happened to me and I did it that way to change mine.

Well hopefully he can get it to work!

Liberty brings nothing new to the table OTHER than a menu system that makes it all very easy to mess with the settings.

That Liberty boot logo will hang on until you replace the boot animation with something else. For some reason it survives the data wipe. I've seen this with Liberty and Tranquility but have not loaded Dark Slide (yet). Just load a new boot animation and you should be ok.

No Boot Logos will hang on ROM to ROM unless that ROM specifically changes them. The boot animations are part of the the /data filesystem that should be getting wiped ROM to ROM

Edit: Although I am not sure if one does not exist in /data/local it may pull the system default for that ROM

Sounds like May and I have both had experience with the logo hanging on (I wasn't making a distinction between logo and animation - sorry). I never thought it was a big deal when I found I could change it once the new ROM was installed.

Im liking it alot, ben using it for the past few hours pretty heavily. Haven't had any issues at all. I came from apex.
