Updating from Apex 1.0.2 (OTA) to Apex 1.3 (android 2.2.1)

Hey all,

I have a question.
(droid X)

Im running the ApexROM 1.0.2 for the .15 OTA and am curious how I go about applying the new update that VZW just pushed out.. My overall goal is to move up to the new ApexROM 1.3.


I have googled and googled and Im not getting any answers. When I try to apply the Update.zip I get an errorcode 7 which states its the "wrong device"


Do I have to somehow restore my phone to stock or is there some type of upgrade path Im missing..

You have to be completely stock. Roots ok but no rom or theme.

Follow this thread. FYI: Root WILL BE LOST when taking an OTA update please try to avoid posting the same issue.

did you make a nandroid backup before you flashed apex 1.02? I did and instead of messing with the sbf and all that i just resotred and then I let the OTA come threw, reran z4root and then flashed apex 1.3

Or you could just load the new ApeX and have the latest version of everything

Can I load one Apex ROM over another? In other words, to load V 1.3 ROM do I need to already be on OTA .340?

No I have not done an OTA since 2.2
