cant boot into recovery with rubix 1.0

so i just installed rubix 1.0 yesterday. but now i am trying to apply the update and nothing i do allows me to boot into recovery. not through rom manager or koush's bootstrapper. after i hit reboot recovery in either, it just does a normal reboot. any suggestions?

on a side note, whats the best way to back up apps. i used my backup but after i restored, almost none of the apps showed up in the market, and then im assuming wouldnt get autoupdates.

edit: also, yes i am sure i have root

I had the same problem, one guy told me to try going into settings>applications>all and find rom manager clear cache and data if any then uninstall it and do the same for bootstrapper and then reboot and then reinstall them

Happened to me too. Uninstall Bootstrapper, reboot, then reinstall Bootstrapper. Worked for me.
