Here's a couple threads to check out;
Classic Ring Tone
Ringtones
If your in loud areas, what i did was use a Music Editor, and choose a file thats easy to amplify, like any telephone ring tone and jack that sucker up,, All programs are basically the same.
open program,
open file ie, rooster.ogg.. or rooster.mp3
highlight whole track
then in some editing area or effects amplify it.
save then copy to your phone.
from there go MENU/SETTINGS/SOUND & DISPLAY/PHONE RINGTONE/SELECT MUSIC
navigate to your newly amped ringtone. voila
I think they gave the ringtones and notifications to some lackie in the programming department and he opted to keep the volume low when programming cuz the speaker is loud as heck now with this little trick...
Sorry if this is poorly written as ive been working 70+ hours all week and Im flipping tired... atleast its a start for some of you that care to indulge in a louder ring tone.
if you are on a windoze box, download audacity its free (google it) open your tone then highlight the entire song or tone then menu>effects>amplify and move the db slider over to +5 then goto the menu>file>export as>filename.mp3 transfer to sd card and You'll hear it after that!
