I took my DroidX apart for a new screen and this part fell out and I don't know where it goes? I assembled the phone without it and every thing works fine, but it bugs me having spare parts left over. Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried YouTube? There's a lot of videos of people taking apart there dx you might find some help on the video

Are you talking about the black thing or the clear thing?
It's the thing under the dime. It is steel or tin, not clear (bad pic). I am starting to think it might be one of the clips that holds the phone together near the volume buttons. I am noticing a little gap there after snapping the housing back together. I had not taken the phone apart before.
Take off your battery cover. Directly underneath the battery there are two plastic 'tabs' where there is a metal piece similar to what I THINK I'm seeing in the pic. If there is no metal piece there on your phone I'm pretty sure that's it.

I looked in the battery comp. and I still have that piece. This part is a lot smaller, about 1/3 that size. If you zoom in, there are 4 little tabs on it. Thanks though.
it's a dime
