Angry Help! Dialer prefixes all calls with #31# thus making calls fail!

For some reason, whether dialed manually or from contacts, the dialed number becomes prefixed with #31# and Verizon says "Your call cannot be completed as dialed...".

Anybody know why or have a fix for this rooted Gingerbread non modded DroidX?

    Thanks!
    -Larry

Never heard of this before. Is it possible you have some sort of prefix app installed? Maybe someone is playing a a practical joke on you and they installed the app.

Unhappy How can I debug this situation?

I guess that this could be due to malware, but Lookout says all is OK.
How can I debug this situation?
Is there such a thing as a "prefix app"?

    Help!

have ya tried going into the settings in the dialer and looking around?
    or maybe in settings/call settings/...
hmm... for some reason... this is seaming very familiar... but i can't remember... or think of why it is...
or you can also try going to settings/applications/manage applications/"all" tab... and clearing data for dialer and dialer storage?

There are several prefix apps in the market, and as far as I know there is no way to auto add a dialing prefix like the one you're describing with out one of those apps. They're not "malware" so lookout wouldn't see them. The thing is I've never heard of this problem before that's why I tend to think it must be an app. Of course I could be wrong.

I have great respect for developers, but if you use air push ads you're dead to me.

The only thing I know of is assisted dialing, but I don't see anywhere it would add an # so that's why I dismissed it. My money is still on a practical joke/revenge.
