Do you have the latest GB update?
Try forgetting the network and then re-entering the password for the network.
Also, do you know if your wireless is using WEP or WPA for the password encryption?
Try removing the wireless password from the router and see if it will connect to the open network.
EDIT:: After doing some searching, came across this thread here.
The Gingerbread update did improve wireless security with the Droid X. So, what ever encryption is, the DX don't like it. Also, if it is a WEP password, and the password is less than 10 characters, I do not think it will connect to DX.
You need to get inside your router and read me off all of your wireless properties.
Its a compatibility issue with the router and the DX. Your DX is not faulty.

Ok I do know that the router isnt password protected I tried it with WEP and had to make like a 26 letter password, tried that, didnt work. I can access the site for my router settings, what else should i do? Like i said, it used to work fine with this router, than just stopped idk why.

Ok tried that, now its just stuck on "obtaining Ip Address" on the droid :/
And always remember to read, read, read, and read some more!
Sometimes it will connect and not do anything on the droid, and sometimes it will just say obtaining ip address, any other ideas??

I reset it on the actual router itself and on the site of the router, still nothinglike i said my other laptops and stuff connect fine to it.
Got it. Try this. In the Market there is an app called "WiFi Analyzer." Forget the network you are on, then open the app and connect to it via the app. It will ask to download the connections library, do so, then go ahead and try and connect to it.
