I need easy to understand UNROOT instructions PLEASE.
Will somebody PLEASE help me unroot my phone? I rooted my phone with Z4root. then i downloaded titanium backup, backed up my phone. Then did the bootstrap or whatever and i have terminal emulator downloaded. I dont know how to 'flash a rom' so i never did. When i go into settings>about phone it says I have version 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US >>>>android version 2.2.1
Guys for real.. i am so clueless to unrooting. I just rooted so i could use some of the root only apps.
If they sold an 'idiots guide' on how to unroot i would buy it.
I forgot to tell ya that i need my phone back to stock so i can return it because the charging port is messing up.
I have searched for WEEKS for an easy to use guide i just havent found one.

Z4 has an unroot option. Once you open z4 again it should be right there.

Before you unroot with z4 as mentioned above, you will need to uninstall superuser and bootstrapper.

To make sure all vestiges of bootstrapper are gone, do this before unrooting
1. Open the explorer of your choice, navigate to the folder /system/bin (you can use esfile explorer from the market, just go into settings and enable root access)
2.Find the file named hijack, long press on it, select delete,
3.Find the file named logwrapper, long press on it, select delete,
4. Find the file named logwrapper.bin, long press on it, select rename, and rename it to logwrapper
Then uninstall su and unroot using z4, then uninstall z4
reboot

unroot in 3 steps
1. backup
2. sbf
3. factory reset
after following harleydudes advise.
Then you are definitely safe.

Yeah just sbf its the easiest way and returns ur phone to completely the way it was out of box. You'll lose all your apps but you're going to be getting a new phone anyways, and they will reinstall (minus data) when you log into ur account on ur new phone.
