Is your charger plugged in? I had a similar issue. I unplugged my charger and did a battery pull and tried again

How long was it looping? It will take a little longer to boot up but if it bootloops for more than 5 minutes, then pull the battery out, reinstall, hold the power+home buttons until factory recovery boots up, then hit the search button and go down to factory reset/data wipe and select that, then reboot.

Touche good sir, use the volume buttons, not the search button.

Did the data wipe and reboot, will it take awhile for it to load after that or should it be quick? No power cord pluged in and I have been working on fixing it for about 2 hrs now.

Yes it'll take a little longer to boot up the first time, just let it sit and wait about 5 minutes.
