Bought phone on CL Data works but signal drops on phone calls

Hey all, I have done damn near everything to fix my phone...
I bought it a month ago on Craigslist...and it was running APEX 2.0 alpha
the software was very buggy so I decided to flash several other roms Liberty
ALL the same result the data works great, but when I attempt to make a call the signal bars drop and the phone will not make calls...

I have SBF'd to 2.3.340 Froyo... to no result
maderstcok update as well.... it won't allow me to activate...ugh

Keep in mind I have an OG Droid that works perfectly fine in the same location.

I have no clue what the problem is!!!

After you SBF'd, did you wipe data as well? Have you tried to reactivate the phone by dialing *228 then choosing option #1 when prompted?

Did you try calling 288* and pressing 2 to update your roaming?

Maderstcok is an older file though, the full 2.3.340 is the latest. How are you doing it? Through RSDLIte? If so make sure you have the full 2.3.340, see here: Its at the top of the list, and the file name is " Android 2.2.1 System Version 2.3.340 Full (VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01) (Current OTA)"

That's fine..afterwards and the phone reboots, do this:

Power off, hold the home button then press and hold the power button until the android guy with the triangle shows up. Hit the search key, use the volume buttons to scroll down to wipe data/factory reset, choose it with the camera button, scroll down to yes, and choose it. It will do it's thing for about a minute. Hit the back button, then goto reboot and click it.

After it boots back up, go through the setup process, and then goto the dialer and do *228, then option #1 to reactivate, then #2 for roaming wouldn't hurt..If that doesn't do it, try taking it to VZW and see if they can work some other magic on it for you..
