Can't get into bootloader (not recovery)

Hey guys. I flashed the new GB Liberty and decided to nandroid back to GB (deodexed and themed). Long story short, now no matter what I do the phone will successfully boot but I'm getting FC's. I CAN boot to Clockwork and stock recovery but I cannot get it to boot to bootloader so I can SBF. I've SBF'ed several times but I've never had this problem. When I hold camera, vol down, and power it boots normally. The camera button is not broke as I've managed to take a picture (through all the FC's). So I thought, "download quick boot from the market and use it to boot into bootloader". No go. The market will not open.

I thought for a moment I could use adb commands to "reboot bootloader" but my PC is not recognizing the phone and I cannot get to my notification bar to toggle the pc connections.

I'm sure I can boot to Clockwork and begin flashing random files to get into bootloader but I'd like to avoid making the situation worse and keep that as a last resort.

Is there some other trick to get into bootloader?

When phone is off fully hold down power + down volume + home at the same time for a couple seconds then let go. Phone will boot to boot loader

Thanks for the quick response but that just takes me to stock recovery.

To anyone else having this problem, I found a solution: Pull battery, plug in usb cable, hold volume up & volume down, insert battery....instant bootloader!

    I'm off to SBF land!

Heh. Yeah. They're going to reuse a lot of code for the X2, which has no camera button, which is why recovery and bootloader no longer use it.

Clearly they're using some from the Atrix as well, given the ATT text in the gingerbread leak's hotspot app. There's still an ATT logo and phone number in one of the apks on .588, I just forget which one. Just based on that, I bet we see another revision for the final OTA.

Gingerbread is not very hacker friendly. Before GB, I had never SBD'ed. Now it's becoming second nature. Now to see if I can restore my backup once I get back to GB.

Have you had problems creating good backups in GB? I've noticed that almost all of them have bad data.img's unless I wipe dalvik cache before creating them. Even then, about half of them are bad.

Nope. I've restored a couple without issue on gingerbread. I was having problems on froyo though. They would hang on restoring data. I never did figure out why.

The only thing I could remember changing before having the problems was moving all of my apps that were on the sd card to the phone. Whether that had anything to do with it hanging, I have no clue. I don't see why it would matter.

Ok, so I rooted and began the 3 part flash back to GB and it turns out my camera button is going bad. It allowed me to flash the first file but when it came time to flash the 2nd, I could no longer select anything. So now I'm SBF'ing again. Can I restore a GB backup over Froyo or must I first flash to GB, then restore my backup?
