hey man i had this same problem. exact same error message. a fews things ive heard, but didnt work for me... try flashing that sbf multiple times in a row before attempting a power on. (didnt work for me). if you try this 10-20 times (tedious and probably pointless, i know) and you still get the same error, you may be screwed. at this point youre as bricky as it gets, so toss up a hail mary and flash the 2.1 sbf. it may help, or youll have just as solid as a brick before. or, if this doesnt work, you can call verizon. dont mention bootloader, act like you have no idea how to even power on a phone. tell them you woke up and found this error message on your phone, and that you were also having problems with reboots and freezing since doing the 2.2 update. if its been less than 30 days since you bought your phone, theyll allow you to exchange it for a brand new one. if its over 30 days and obviously under a year, theyll send you a certified refurbed one. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOTTT mention anything about rooting, flashing etc. act a fool.

Will it let you reboot into recovery? Do a battery pull. Hold power and home, then once it turns on, let go of the power button, but keep holding home until the exclamation screen comes up. Press search and thats recovery. Try doing a wipe cache, and then wipe data/factory reset. Reboot and see what happens.

Someone already mentioned it but i would just keep trying to sbf then hopefully you can get it to load ( after errors like this as far as my experience with sbf you will prob get stuck in boot loop if you do get it to load so you will prob have to pull battery then when you power on hold home and clear data/cache)

also in bootloader your battery will not charge so unless you have a friend with a dx or an external charger once your battery dies its s.o.l
unless you want to use old usb cable ( which deff. works i had to do this last night when i had a similar situation different error tho my phone died in the middle of sbf) if you end up needing to do this just youtube it theres a vid on how to do it

other than that do what shelooga said and jus play dumb with vzw

    good luck!

Well thank you for everyones options but nothing has worked this is as bricked as they come so I finally broke down and went to verizon to play dumb and then some prissy blonde haired chick (cute) but as dumb as they come tried to fix it HaHa what a joke, So she gives me the insurance number and im paying $50 for a new one to be shipped to me. Then they tell me that they are all back ordered and that they wont get it to me for a week.
