I'll update since I want to be on the official version, so if they ship a near-term OTA to fix additional 2.2 issues (highly likely), I don't have to think about it. Of course it's a reasonable option to stay with the leaked version, but I am in the mood to rebuild mine.

I didn't know anything about Android when I first got my DX, so going back to stock 2.1 and updating gives me a chance to review/understand details that were lost on me the first time.

There are actually 3 versions of 2.2 out in the wild now.

    2.3.9 - 2.3.13 - 2.3.15

2.3.15 was just released a couple days ago, and it appears that it is the same as the official. Those of us with the 2.3.15 will be able to upgrade to the new radio baseband once the official OTA is repackaged by a dev. I think it was funny that Motorola/Verizon said that anyone with the leaked 2.2 wouldn't be able to upgrade to the official OTA. They really are comical.

DL just posted a story that the 2.2 "pull" will be available starting at noon EST tomorrow. They have an image with a quote, but don't say the source.

The real question is, do I get it ota, or do I get a hacked one? I think I want to go to a clean hacked install. Does MyBackup Pro work well for you guys? I wanna save my apps.

So, does anyone think an enterprising dev will come up with a way to upgrade 2.3.9 to official? I am non-rooted and used the update.zip method to upgrade. Do you think there might be a hope of another update.zip method for me to upgrade without wiping?
