So the bootloader is accessed by HOME + POWER and the recovery menu is HOME + VOLUME + POWER?
What's this I hear about CAMERA + POWER? It's on a few youtube videos...
The recovery is accessed by power+volume down+camera

Any idea what the error message in the recovery menu means?

If you installed Koush's Recovery then there is no way in hell you will succseed, I've been there done that, just find the SBF file and Motorola RDS lite, put the phone in Bootloader by holding camera+volume down+power when turning it on (it doesn't tell you that on wiki) and reflash the phone, you will not lose "anything". Then do the Root hack again since by reflashing you will lose Root, then apply the FroYo 2.2 Update.zip by booting into recovery (hold Volume down+Home+Power buttons- when you see the little green Droid figure press the Search button then scroll to Apply Update.zip. Make SURE that it completes (status bar is not that visible) when phone reboots you've got some nice FROzenYOgurt!!! and man is it worthwhile.
Speed increase is very nice, still Rooted,Flash Player beats my Acer Netbook.
Just the whole feel of the phone is an awesome experience.
Don't be chicken. It pays well in the end.
I'll try to upload the SBF file later as soon as this little thingy called 'work gets out of the way;-)
+1 iv had to do the same thing and the phone runs like a champ..sbf links are already posted on here

That's odd..I personally have never had that issue..u could try to download the update.zip directly to the phone then moving it to the root of the sd card

I tried that but it told me that it was not possible due to the file not being recognized. Here is a question that may simplify things: When trying to do this, are you in USB MAss Storage mode or PC mode?
