My phone contacts show up in the contacts app and contacts search app but not from the phone dialer. When I try to make a call and click on the contacts tab at the top of the phone window, it says "0 contacts" and then closes the phone window and goes back to the home screen. Help!
mine does the exact same thing! it's annoying. funny thing is my parents both have x's and they work fine!
also, I went to verizon today and asked them and to no surprise they have no clue. Verizon has the worst customer service ever! The lady didn't even know what kind of phone it was...
have you fixed this issue yet?
Check to see if you are filtering on a set of contacts that might not have any such as the internal memory vs google or fb contact lists

It is not a filtering issue. The contacts are in the phone, but don't show up in the phone app; just in the contacts and search contacts apps. I had to go back to Verizon and they performed a security wipe. I had to log back in to Google and Facebook. I believe the sales rep also used Backup Assistant. Once all that was done the contacts were back and the phone is working great. The downside was that I had to reload the apps (easy to do from Marketplace) and restablish any customizations (background image, some settings, shortcuts on the home screens, etc).
