how to unroot and get rid of Clockwork recovery menu on boot?

ok I have a phone that I'm returning and had gotten root for the main purpose of getting titanium backup to back everything up.
I used that little program with the two buttons made by Silentkill to do the rooting procedure.
Backed up my stuff with titanium, then things went haywire with the sd card when i tried moving the apps to sd card (not sure why i tried that, but not sure why it didn't work either)...couldn't get it to mount as a drive over usb (though could look through it fine on the phone)...also it would hang every time I tried to uninstall apps.

Got the droid x bootstrapper by clockworkmod and did a factory reset...works fine now, except I can't get rid of the tools i used.

I can't get rid of root. I use the program to unroot, does it's little thing and has a progress bar, reboots phone.....STILL have superuser permissions in the app drawer.

Also, when I go to reboot the phone, i get that damn Clockworkmod Recovery menu every time. How do I get rid of it? Wouldn't a factory reset turn that off (not to mention root)?

I want to get rid of SU and the recovery menu so that when I turn it in, I don't get charged for the replacement because they thought i was 'tampering' with it.

Did you have no idea that doing 2.1 flash would brick a 2.2 phone? Now I'm ****ed. I know you're trying to help but please don't bother if you're not certain it will cause more harm than good.

Dude, Abe knows more about that phone than you ever will! His orginal response was:
"ota 2.2? easiest way would be to flash the 2.2 sbf

TBH announces Froyo System SBF and RSDLite 4.8"

He added the second link just in case that was what you needed. Breathe man.

Damn, sorry. I didn't read carefully enough and thought they were about the same fix. I feel like a real idiot. I didn't recognize the crucial difference between leaked and ota. I have already flashed to the 2.1 sbf and still screwed since on that tbh announce link they say that it won't help if you did that. I tried anyway and of course it didn't help. :*( so there is absolutely nothing I can do now right?

Did you ever get your phone fixed with the newly release FULL 2.2 SBF?

Sorry for rather late reply, but no, I didn't get it fixed since that sbf I used earlier being the wrong one bricked the phone. I took it in to the store to have them reload it and get rid of the stupid bricked state but they couldn't. At least it changed the error codes from what I had to perhaps hide error reason on my part. But they said I could still send it back without being charged since they know about the issues that easily bricks phones, thanks to motorola's idiotic e-fuse garbage. Though, in case I run into the same type of problem again, I'd certainly like to get that full sbf. Do you have a link?
