ok when i use normal typing there are no sounds when texting but on swype there is. i went into swype settings and there is nothing about sounds.

Look for "Audio Feedback", the next to the last item on the first page of the Swype settings. Toggle that on or off for the clicking noise. BTW, sorry about the reference to SKYPE in my earlier post. Got my SKYPE confused with my SWYPE! Tired I guess... Depending on which keyboard is shown under Input Method on the Lanaguage & Keyboard settings page, that will determine whether there is a sound/audio option available under the Swype or Multi-touch keyboard setting. Just listened to the Sound on Keypress setting with the Multi-touch...now THAT would really be annoying, especially the delete/backspace key sound!!!
