Am not seeing the option to record a voice memo. I want to be able to record notes to myself as well as short meetings. Is this possible with DroidX? Is there an app for it?

Found an app called "Voice Recorder" that will do this. Imagine that.Just thought it would've been built into the X somehow...
What's the name of the app that you found?
See previous message.
I use voice recorder for just like you would an older tape recorder. In fact, I was with my father this past weekend for his last WWII reunion and he caught me recording him while he was telling some war stories (this is a rare occurrence for him because he doesn't open up about the war often).
Another app you may want to take a look at is "Note Everything". It allows you to create text notes, paint notes (drawn with your finger), voice notes, etc. It even integrates with barcodes, google, etc. I use it to create reminders for myself. You might want to check it out to see if it will meet your needs.

I see that you already found an app - but NoteEverything (paid version) has a nice voice memo / note function as well...

You wouldn't believe it. After time and time of searching for it, months later I found the darned thing. They don't have it in the app drawer
(someone fell asleep during production. Lol
) but if you longpress the homescreen and select "custom shorcut" a menu will pop up, click the "select activity" button and when the activity menu comes up scroll down to "sound recorder". Prior to doing this I had been using hertz sound recorder from the app market, which is basic and gets the job done, but a few minutes ago I just deletes the little sucker out of shear excitement
. Really, I had no apparent reason foe playing with my phone, outside of being over fascinated with being a wanna-be techy
. Lol. Hope this helps someone.
