Apps hung at "starting download", fixed with toggling gtalk.

When downloading apps, the first time I go to the market after a reboot, the app gets hung at "starting download". I had read another thread somewhere (possibly here, but I couldn't find it) that mentioned toggling gtalk (open, sign in, sign out). This works for me, but I would like to not have this minor annoyance.

I am rooted with leaked 2.2, but it also happened while I was still on 2.1 rooted. I rooted quite some time ago, so I can't recall whether or not it happened beforehand.
