    Blue triangle on the status bar... Verizon has no idea.....

    Ok so I had AT&T with an IPhone4, I then canceled my plan to port my number to tmobile. I tried tmobile out for 3 days and it sucked so I then ported that same number over to verizon and got the droid x. I activated my phone after getting it in the mail. It had a blue triangle in the status bar after activating, and when I looked in settings>about phone> satus> it said roaming and network unknown. Since then I've gone to the verizon store, they tried *228, battery pull, and finally replacing the phone. Well, The blue triangle is still there and I'm still supposedly "roaming"..... It's been a week since I've activated the phone. What do I do?

    There is no charge for roaming on voice or data with VZW.

    Never seen a blue triangle tho...

    Check your coverage area. You might have a weak VZW signal in your area. Or perhaps try going outside and activating the device. (like a gps)

    The blue triangle has something to do with no data connection available and you are not on a VZW plan. I get it on my DX when I unactivate it and swap back to my D1. Can you use the phone at all???? Maybe try reactivating it. Maybe something went wrong with your number port.

    I am in the middle of tampa,fl its a very good coverage area. I can use my voice and data fine from what I know. I think it has to do with my port too but no idea what to do about it!

    Have you called into VZW tech support to have them check your account and possibly reset it (I know in your OP you went into your local store)? You can call *611 from your phone or they may request that you call from a different number for troubleshooting purposes...

    Thank you@ small towngirl. I've gone through vzw troubleshooting over the phone 2 times for about an hour each. They had me turn off my roaming banner and my data....battery pull *228. They said they would run tests and get me to another tech support guy..... im still waiting for the other tech support person to call, its been a few days.

    Possibly a factory reset and reactivate to ensure that everything has ported correctly for the carrier change...hope ya get soon tho I am sure that tech support person is on vacation right now...haha
