Swapped mainboards now neither phone will power on

I have two Droid X2's, one has a bad ESN (MEID). Unfortunately, it's in the best condition. Long story short... I swapped out the mainboards and now neither will power on. I swapped them back and still nothing. All I can get is a green light when plugged in to charge. I have quadruple checked the ribbon connections. Please... What am I missing?

The Titanium won't work because I did not root yet. So root then backup data?

Also I do not have SD Card only back ups on my phone internal storage.
