Please help. Droid X stuck on M, I can get to the recovery screen !

Can someone with more knownledge than I, please help.

Droid X was rooted with ezroot. I never removed any bloatware. I did move the SU file to the xbin folder as instructed in one of the post I read. I downloaded what I belived to be the 2.2 froyo update. Put the undate.zip on the root of my sdcard. Ran update through recovery mode. Rebooted phone after install was complete. Droid X is stuck on M screen and will not go any futher. I can get back to recovery screen with home+power button. Tried to run update again, but it says . error in sdcard update ( status 2 ) ! I have tried the format and clear chach, but no sucess. Any help would be great !

The title of this thread link is how to unbrick your phone....YOU DO NOT have a brick...
READ the thread there is some GOOD stuff that will help. What you have IS a easy fix Don't sweat it .And you don't have to do a major reset of the phone using a file were not suppose to talk about .

I had something similar happen to me while I was updating to 2.2... if it's not too late, try this: Reboot your phone, when it sticks on the "M" logo, press the power button once. When I did that, it brought me to the recovery screen/menu. I am not sure what caused it, but from there I could select "reboot phone now" or whatever it was and then everything booted fine.

Thank you KDKINC. The link you posted took me to a wealth on information. I followed the instructions there, and was able to fully restore my Droid X.. I guess I'll just waite until the offical 2.2 is released this time around.. Thanks again !! THREAD CLOSED

Glad it worked...
I had to use it myself last night to GO BACK to 2.1 due to a Motorola waring I saw posted . Stating "no OTA for people with current leaked 2.2."

try post #2 again .
Its all there BE patient use the correct tools You'll get it .
Sometimes a battery pull then reboot WITH YOUR finger on the Home button WHILE inserting the battery can help then,,,, if needed push power button with finger on home button.
