Correct me if I'm wrong but when your phone is sitting at the home screen don't you just press the home key again and select your screen? If it's not the home key, try the back button.

What are you using for a launcher ?
tap'd from the Gnex
Haven't used it...bit if its what I'm thinking...hit the menu>settings>preferences> there should be a manage home screens..then the yellow star can be moved to the home screen you want ....I'll try to install it on a bit to see exactly...but I think that is what you are referring to..yea?

This never happened before, but now when I unlock my Droid X, that motion somehow pushes my home screen down two screens. Then I have to swipe twice to get it back. How do I deal with that?
I am not rooted.
I have Android version 2.3.4.
I use GO Launcher EX
I would go into settings, manage apps and find go launcher, clear cache and data, or even uninstall and install it again. If I recall, pinch the screen with your fingers to see all your pages, the long press in the one you want as your home page, I think there is also a option in settings for go launcher that you can have it return to homescreen after every screen unlock, haven't used go launcher in a long long time.

Its all just a matter of taste and preference, they all have pros and cons.

If your using go launcher, hit menu/edit/ and choose which screen you want to be your home screen, you can also add and re arrange screens also. Make sure your are running the latest version also. Go launcher is one of the best launcher out there.
