    forced update screen

I have rooted my droid x and have used a few different roms over the years. I decided to go back to GB rooted with no rom. One of my knuckle-head co-workers wqas playing with my phone and hit the about phone>system updates button. Needless to say, I am now getting a screen saying my update for 4.5.621 will start unless I hit cancel. I have 4.5.605 now. How can I stop this update from happening? I do not want to have to sleep with my phone to hit cancel every time it tries to force update it. Thanks

You didn't download the update yet? Anyway to be safe go ahead and wipe the cache for your phone. (This would delete the update if it was already downloaded)

Then if you have Titanium Backup you can just freeze the updater.apk and it should prevent it from asking again. Or you can use an app like root explorer to change the file extension to .bak.
