I can not get a different notification sound when I receive a text. I went into sounds and tried but all I can get is the same one that I use when I receive a email. Can anyone direct me. Thanks.

I can not get a different notification sound when I receive a text. I went into sounds and tried but all I can get is the same one that I use when I receive a email. Can anyone direct me. Thanks.
Go into your messaging app and press the menu key. There should be settings there and in the settings there should be a notification option.

I hate to say it but the I got a ring notification for my text message but it is the same as for my email notification. I set it on a different ring but i continues to give me the email ring. I thought we had it but something is wrong. Anyone have any ideas that would help. thanks
Try a reboot. Sometimes it's needed for some things to stick.
