Have you been using the blackberry cord the entire time? I know it sounds strange but the cord can be a big deal when trying to SBF. Do you still have the one for the DX?

Yes I've been using the Blackberry USB from the beginning, I figured that since it showed in Device Manager that it was capable of flashing the device. I still have the OEM cable somewhere though.
Seeing your phone and communication with it using a different USB cable is fine but writing to it for an sbf is more technical and needs the Motorola cable for a success.

Ok I will try it with the OEM and let you know how it goes, thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
No problem and good luck, let us know the outcome.

Yup. I can use my wife's Fascinate cable to read/write files to my X, but only my X cable will work for a SBF.

Tried 3 different cables, don't know if they were OEM or not, one was a very heavy thick cable. Nothing major has changed, still goes into bootloader and I can still bring up the M Logo but now the green LED appears when the Droid is attached to the computer, it didn't do that before. I don't know if this means it's charging, I also feel heat on the rear lower section, i don't know if this is normal or if this is a malfunction of another component. I wanr to flash it with Linux but can't find the same SBF in ISO format.. 1FF-p3a_shadow_cdma_shadow-user-2.3.4-4.5.1_57_DX8-51-120111-test-keys-signed-Verizon-US.sbf...this one gives me no "Service Req'd" after flashing. Might not work, but it's a last ditch effort.

There is no .621 iso file that I'm aware of, sorry. Can always try the .604 one again. Linux solution to your Windows/RSD lite problems

Ok fellas, tried every SBF file available, tried 3 different USB cables, tried the Linux options and the RSD Lite, still at bootloader so I'm guessing this thing is bricked. Wish it would read the SD Card but I can see that isn't an option. Thanks for all your help, You would have thought that they would have made a phone that a slight amount of moisture wouldn't kill but that's just daydreaming. I appreciate your assistance guys.
